February Favourites

Posted by snowbunnytales at 3:54 PM 0 comments
I wanted to share my favourites too :)
There are so many products that I love, so I decided for each month...I will only choose my top5~ So here are my February favs!

Yes! Naked palette is included! I've been using this the whole month!
Really pigmented colors, a little goes a long way and so easy to blend~

When I got the Naked palette, I really liked the way the 24/7 pencil liners looked on the eye. I have been using liquid liners up until now, because the gel liners and pencil liners always smudged, transferred and disappears on me. UD 24/7 liners did the same...
So I decided I was going to try MUFE. I heard really good things about it...and for me they're true! I loved them! they stayed and didn't transfer, smudged only a little.
Then I was watching MszJackieChu on youtube and she was talking about Milani Liquif'eye liner pencil and I felt like I just had to try it! and now they are my favourite, because it's cheap!!! (around $5) and work as well as MUFE($19)
yeah...I went a little crazy with pencil liners these past few months :)

I 've also have been loving Essie's Shop Till I Drop, now I think many people might disagree with me as this being a good essie polish, but i loooove this color! yes, it takes me four coats to get the opacity I like, but witpatience you can get a really gorgeous colour!

Moroccan Oil-I've been using it this whole month and I still have half left in the bottle :)
I think it's a good product~

and last, but not least...Laura Mercier French Vanilla Body Souffle. I love the scent, love the texture~too bad it's so small!

What are your favourites~?

Lush-Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask

Posted by snowbunnytales at 5:41 PM 0 comments

I looooove using face mask, either it be sheet mask or fresh face masks or DIY masks.
I always get excited when I go into the city, because it means I can treat myself to some of Lush's fresh face mask if I wanted to :) Last week I picked up Catastrophe Cosmetic.

Lush's UK webite description:
Fresh blueberries are rich in beneficial antioxidants, vitamins and minerals to reduce inflammation and act as a mild antiseptic. Soothing chamomile, Irish moss and almond oil work with the gentle cleansing action of calamine to save your skin. Apply to clean skin, avoiding the eye area. Leave for five to ten minutes, then rinse away.

I used it with a few friends on our girl's night~ it was fun! So far I like this mask. The smell is spa like, it's not overpowering at all. It's relaxing~! After I rinse it off, my skin feels refreshed :) I like how you can see the blueberry bits in the mask. The texture of the mask it alot thicker than I thought it would be, but it's still easy to spread.

Lush's mask usually has a shelf life of 2-3 weeks, so make sure to check the date before you purchase...and don't forget to keep it in the fridge! When you're done with the mask...keep the container..you can bring 5 containers (I believe) back to Lush and get a free fresh face mask~ A tub usually lasts about 6-8 uses for me.
This one isn't my favourite Lush mask...but I definately enjoy it :)

have you tried any Lush mask? if yes...which are your favs?

Haul~

Posted by snowbunnytales at 3:18 AM 0 comments
I recieved my order from sephora a couple days ago~ I'm still excited and just wanted to share :)

I picked up a few mini's from Sephora. I usually don't like to order online, but I decided that I really wanted the mini Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment Duo($22.50) and the Sephora stores around my house were all sold out. So $50 for free shipping...my excuse to buy more produts hahaa :)

I was about to run out of my RMK face cream, so I decided to try out Ole Henriksen Truth Revealed Starter Kit ($20). I really like trying out these mini versions, because I wouldn't have to commit to using them if I didn't like them. and I think these minis would last at least a month or two. So far, I'm liking this . m/b a full review soon.

I also picked up the Benefit Stay Put Set($10) I've been really into my Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in Birthday Suit and I was thinking of trying out R.S.V.P. which has a more pinkish lighter tone to it, but I thought it would be too similar to Birthday Suit on. This set included a mini version of R.S.V.P. (0.11 oz.). The full product size is 0.16 oz. for $19. So just getting the cream shadow alone was already a good deal...so i got it! But i have to say..I'm loving Birthday suit alot more~

A plus side to ordering online is that you get free samples, although they ran out of Marc Jacob's Lola I'm still happy. There are also coupon codes that you can look for on the site. Look at Weekly Specials. I got a sample of cliniques 3 step system on top on my 3 samples. so yay! more things to try out.

anyone else picked up these products? what are your thoughts on them?

Benefit-Boi-ing

Posted by snowbunnytales at 3:43 PM 0 comments
I've had my boi-ing for probably 2 years now. I kinda use it on and off. It works fine, but I'm not crazy about it...and I used to not wear concealer everyday. I mainly use Boi-ing for concealing under my eyes. Today, I decided I would use it...since there's not much left of it~I should just finish it.

After I used it, I noticed the pan looking kinda gloomy, so I just decided I would take a q-tip and clean it up a bit~ I was a little shocked when I lifted the q-tip up. Were my fingers that dirty? or was it my brush? why was the q-tip so dirty looking. soo I took a few more q-tips and swiped them a couple times each. They were still all dirty!

So I'm thinking m/b it's the material of the pan? or is mine toooo old? But I mean...I'm putting this stuff on my eyes~! my brushes would be picking this up right~?? I duno...anyone has any ideas? I'm putting this aside for now...but I think I really should just toss it~

Tips-Use My Beauty Dairy Sheet Masks Twice

Posted by snowbunnytales at 3:51 PM 0 comments
So what you need is your packet of MBD sheet mask and some sheet mask tablets. The smaller tablets on the left that I have are from Muji and the larger one on the right I bought from Daiso. Most japanese $1.50 store usually has a pack of 5 tablets for sale :)

After you used your sheet mask don't throw your packet away! look inside! There's alot of liquid left inside that packet! So you can take your sheet mask tablets and throw one in! you'll have another face mask for the next day :) I usually use it the next night...you can probably use it the day after..but I wouldn't keep it for too long~ even with that tablet soaked in there..you will still have some liquid left..so what I do is take a cotton pad/ball...soak that up then apply it to my neck, back of my hands, and the my legs and feet :)

So that's how I try to get as many uses out of my packet of sheet mask..the tablets don't cost that much either so I think it's worth a try :)

I buy my MBD sheet mask from my local chinese 99 Ranch Market (10sheets/$12.99). I'm so glad they carry it, even though it's not the full range. My friend buys hers off sasa or on amazon.

Does anyone have any recommendations for any other brands of sheet masks out there? The only other ones I've tried before are ones from The Face Shop and a few from Watsons stores in Asia.

Sonia Kashuk-eye makeup remover

Posted by snowbunnytales at 10:58 PM 4 comments
I've tried a few different eye makeup removers in the past...Clinique, Lancome, RMK, Shiseido, Bobbie Brown, but Chanel's Gentle Bi-Phase Eye Makeup Remover has always remain to be my favourite. But at $32 a bottle, it's a little expensive. I would rather spend the money on other skin care products. So even though I love love this, I wanted to see if there was anything in the drug store department that would meet my expectations.

I just finished my bottle of Boots Botanics Soothing Eye Make Up Remover(~$6/5oz.). I have to say in my opinion this was just as good as the higher end brands, but it was still a tad bit too oily for me. I don't like the oily feeling of most eye makeup removers. But i do recommend this if you don't mind the oily feeling.

So when I ran out of Boots Botanics, I went to target to try and find another remover. Sitting on the shelf staring at me was Sonia Kashuk's remover ($9.99/4.75oz). I decided I was going to try this one....and now I think I found my new drugstore favourite!  I don't know~I feel like I don't need to look for another eye make up remover again! I looooove this...possibly a little more than Chanel! It's not the cheapest at the drugstore, but I think it's worth it. My eye makeup just melts off without much effort :) and without the oily feeling~
